Will activist Adam Kokesh stop getting arrested in time to get arrested at his July 4 armed march on D.C.? Despite getting arrested at a Philadelphia rally where protesters smoked marijuana earlier this month, Kokesh has started organizing another pro-pot event for June 8—-and this time, it’s in front of the White House.
Kokesh’s Philadelphia arrest had supporters—-admittedly, maybe not the most realistic bunch—- worrying that he’d been abducted by the government. But planning for the “Smoke Down Prohibition Rally” hasn’t been dampened by the threat of federal kidnappers. “Choom choom, mothersfuckers, choom choom,” the Smoke Down’s Facebook event page urges.
Kokesh is just as excited. “Fuck yeah,” Kokesh wrote in a text after I asked whether, despite his last arrest and upcoming march on D.C., he’d be at the smoke-up. “Why wouldn’t I?”
