Arguing with Idiots: Conservative media host Glenn Beck is usually mad about something. Today, that something was Washington Pigskins quarterback Robert Griffin III‘s new house. Specifically, Beck thinks it didn’t cost enough. For the record, it cost $2.3 million. -2

They’ll Fly Away: Yes, American Airlines and US Airways would, if their proposed merger is approved, be the largest airline in the world. And yes, Behemoth Airlines would probably dominate the gates at Reagan National Airport. But that’s just fine with 106 members of Congress, who have asked federal regulators to let the airline keep as many slots at DCA as it wants because, well, lawmakers like flying home from there. So who cares if it means fares increase for the rest of us? -2

Breakfast Hoagies, RIP: Breakfast is the most important grease- and carb-loaded meal of the day. So why is Taylor Gourmet bagging its 8 a.m. weekend service and early morning menu? Fear not: The egg-heavy hoagies will likely return for a pop-up. -1

Waterworld: If not for civic engineering projects in the 1800s, D.C. might have a river running where Constitution Avenue is and streams flowing through neighborhoods like Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights, NoMa, and Shaw. Just imagine how overheated the real estate market in those areas would be if all the condo conversions also included water views! +1
