Enter the Donald: Federal officials have reached agreement with Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump to redevelop and lease the Old Post Office as a 260-room hotel. The good news: It’s a gorgeous, historic building that should benefit from $200 million in private investment. The bad news: Trump will have a platform just blocks from the White House to investigate his crazy birther theories. -1
The Big Payback: The free ride is over, Washington Post readers—the paper will roll its paywall out later this month. It’s pretty porous, though; reading at a school or government office won’t count against its 20-article limit, nor will links from social media. And if it delays the next round of layoffs at the paper, it’s good news, right? +1
