Hill Drag: Lots of negative points for last night’s fire that destroyed Frager’s, the beloved Capitol Hill hardware store. The scene at the shop this morning had notes of both desperation and hope, and now, several restaurants in the neighborhood have offered jobs to Frager’s employees (though one wonders if their generosity is at least partially enabled by the city’s insufficient supply of restaurant workers). Frager’s owner John Weintraub tells Capital Community News that he plans to reopen the store. -4…and +2

Station to Station: Hallelujah! No closed Metro stations this weekend. Still, WMATA will spread plenty of frustration across the system, with work scheduled for all five lines. +/- 0

Logan’s Gun: A couple was held up at gunpoint while dining al fresco at Pizzoli’s Pizza in Logan Circle, as you can watch in this security camera footage released by the Metropolitan Police Department. –1

Alive and Kicking: A Black Cat 20th anniversary party? With a Gray Matter reunion? And a Shudder to Think reunion? Aaaaand Girls Against Boys and Tuscadero reunions? If you grew up on D.C. post-hardcore and indie rock in the ’80s and ’90s, just breathe. Breeeeeeaaaaathe. +3
