Almost 24 hours after 7-year-old Michael Kingsbury was found dead in parked Trinidad car, police say that they still have questions about how he died.

No cause of death has been determined yet for Kingsbury, who went missing on Sunday morning, Assistant Chief Peter Newsham said in a press conference in front of police headquarters late this afternoon. Kingsbury’s body didn’t show signs of trauma, according to Newsham.

It’s also not clear how police could have missed Kingsbury in a car parked so close to his house. Four police officers looked at the car and found nothing during the search, until a fifth—-described as “seasoned veteran detective”—-found him dead.
