A D.C. man pleaded guilty to attacking and attempting to sexually assault a 9-year-old girl in the middle of the day on H Street NE.
Demetrick Littlejohn, 27, pleaded guilty Friday in D.C.’s Superior Court to one count of attempted second-degree child sexual abuse in a type of plea where he did not actually admit to committing the crime, but conceded there was enough evidence to convict him, according to a Monday release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Littlejohn tested positive for PCP at the time of the attack and says he does not remember anything about the incident, according to the release.
But enough people witnessed him in July approaching a young girl leaving a store with her godmother and whispering in her ear that he wants to have sex with her to get him convicted.
He then grabbed her and “engaged in sexual contact with her” until another man pulled him away, according to the release.
Littlejohn will be sentenced in October and faces up to five years in prison.
