Mass Tragedy: The tragedy coming out of the District this morning was heard around the world. At least one gunman opened fire at the Naval Sea Systems Command this morning killing 12 people and injuring a Metro police officer. The suspect, who was killed, has been identified as Aaron Alexis. Classic Barry: After a Council committee recommended that Mayor-for-Life Marion Barry receive censure for accepting cash from city contractors, Barry’s Twitter account went rogue, claiming that the council wasn’t following the rules in calling for him to lose a committee chairmanship. +2
