This won’t exactly be that thick, romanticized Sunday newspaper of yesteryear, but the Washington Post’s free, weekday Express edition will begin delivering a Sunday edition, Poynter reported this morning.
The edition will be delivered to the 180,000 readers who already signed up to to receive Savings Now, a free advertorial product delivered to the homes of people who don’t subscribe to the Post.
The Express is designed for people to read on their commutes to work and is typically filled with short, punchy stories of the day’s news and other entertainment items produced by the Express‘s editorial staff.
Jeff Bezos owns the Express, and there’s no telling if this is the first part of his plot to have the pamphlet-style paper usurp the Post.
