Double Down: Metro defended a current ad campaign that has been accused of sexism. One of the ads featured a woman asking to just talk about shoes. Metro’s explanation? The ads “contrast dense facts with light responses from both men and women on both sides of the conversation.” -3
Fact Check: Mayoral hopeful Reta Lewis, who has endorsed a $12.50 an hour minimum, advertised a job listing for canvassers for $8 an hour, which is 25 cents below D.C. minimum’s wage. Her campaign later said that was an accident and the job pays $8.50 an hour. -3
