Ryan Loskarn, a former top Senate aide accused of possessing and distributing child pornography, was found dead Thursday in the basement of his family’s Maryland home, the Carroll County’s Sheriff Department said today.
Preliminary reports suggest that Loskarn took his own life.
Loskarn, 35, was the chief of staff to Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander. Officials arrested Loskarn in December after they searched his D.C. home and found hundreds of videos of underage boys engaged in sexually explicit conduct and videos with young girls on his hard drive.
