Another D.C. cop is in trouble with the law.
Twenty four-year police force veteran Rodney Williams was arrested and charged with second-degree theft Thursday for stealing evidence from the Evidence Control Branch, MPD said Friday.
Officials would not reveal what he stole, but said a tip from another department employee launched the investigation.
Williams is just the latest in a string of arrested officers, including one who was charged with running a prostitution operation involving teenage girls. Police department figures, according to the AP, show that 110 police officers have been arrested for both on- and off-duty behavior since 2009, though many of these arrests ended in acquittals or involved traffic violations.
