Note to D.C.’s married men: Stay away from Dupont Circle. At least two men’s wedding bands have disappeared from fingers in the tony neighborhood in 2014 alone.

A PoPville reader wrote in to the local blog to report finding what appeared to be a man’s wedding band on the corner of 16th and Q Streets NW this morning.

Close followers of D.C.’s missing wedding ring cases may have immediately thought that this ring belonged to the man who lost his wedding band in January while trying to document a massive snowball fight. But alas, the ring wasn’t his.

City Desk contacted the man with that lost ring (who wished to remain anonymous in order to not “advertise my idiocy to my workplace”), and he said his ring is still on the loose, and was likely “packed in a snowball and launched to freedom.” He said a local reddit user already contacted him to see if the ring belong to him.

Continue to help him find his ring, concerned D.C. residents, so he doesn’t have to continue wearing a $10 replacement his wife bought him (in a pack of three) from Amazon.
