Ballot Blues: A new report found that District voters waited an average of 33.9 minutes to cast ballots in the 2012 presidential election, the second-longest wait times in the country. Could that have contributed to the exceptionally low voter turnout for the recent April 1 primary? -3

The Green City: A report from the Environmental Protection Agency found that the D.C.-area has the second largest number of Energy Star-certified green buildings in the country, or buildings that use at least a third less energy than standard buildings. Los Angeles ranked No. 1 on the list. +2
