Wizards vs. Lady Gaga: D.C. Sports Bog further explained this afternoon how the Wizards and Lady Gaga came head to head at the Verizon Center. (Because of some bad timing, Gaga’s May 15 concert at the Verizon Center may be canceled or postponed if the Wizards haven’t settled their series with the Pacers by then.) The NBA offered a number of explanations, including that the organization doesn’t want scheduling “to affect competitive balance by making any teams play back-to-back days in the playoffs.” These explanations likely won’t quell any diehard Gaga fans, who say this is “unfair” because the concert was scheduled first. Unfair or not, Gaga fans sure do give great quotes. “My level of worry is really high, really really high,” says one fan. “I honestly think Verizon Center should give Gaga the chance to do this.” +3
