Sad Snyder: The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board canceled the Washington football team’s trademark today, saying that because the organization’s name is disparaging to Native Americans, no one can legally hold a trademark with that name. The team has already said it would appeal the decision, but it looks like it may be a tough case for it to win. +5
