For D.C.’s stripclub-goers still mourning the loss of JP’s Lounge in Glover Park last month, fear not: New poles are once again being erected in D.C.

A new strip club, MPire Club, is debuting on the 1800 block of M Street NW with a soft opening later this week, Urbandaddy first reported. The new establishment is on the same block as fellow strip club Camelot Show Bar, and it’s in the same spot as the long-shuttered Joanna’s 1819 Club.

MPire Club says it has “avante garde design and aesthetic” and promises to provide a “completely new experience.” Oh, and this new club also has “house-made small plates.” (But can they compete with the steaks at Stadium Club?)

JP’s Lounge was evicted by its landlord on July 17. The club had just reopened in 2013 after it was destroyed by a fire in 2008.

Urbandaddy has some photos of the new MPire Club here, and there are poles and chandeliers galore.
