Bethesda and Chevy Chase residents are suing the U.S. Transportation Department, arguing that a planned Purple Line light rail route through some Washington suburbs would harm two rare, shrimp-like creatures. They want the line rerouted in order to protect the Rock Creek watershed in Montgomery County.
