The feds say that Vince Gray tried to convince another 2010 mayoral contender, possibly Leo Alexander, to drop out of the race, potentially in exchange for a government job. These allegations surfaced Thursday in a criminal filing against the mayor’s 2010 campaign driver, Mark Long, who is charged with conspiring to cover up Jeff Thompson‘s shadow campaign for Gray.

  • Ex-Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell was found guilty Thursday of 11 counts of corruption. His wife, Maureen McDonnell, was found guilty of eight counts. [Post]
