A man was reportedly kidnapped by two armed men yesterday afternoon in Petworth, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Police say that between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., the man was approached by two armed suspects wearing dark-colored clothing and hoods over their heads on the 900 block of Decatur Street NW. They ordered the victim to hand over his property, and when he did, they allegedly demanded that he get into the trunk of his vehicle. The two suspects drove off, and when the vehicle slowed down, the victim reportedly used the emergency trunk release and fled.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown eyes. The second man is described as clean-shaven, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 180 pounds. Both men were armed.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering up to a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people involved in any D.C. robbery. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099, or text anonymously to the text tip line at 50411.
