How disruptive are thy branches?

Are you a fan of the holidays or cold outdoor events? If not, take note. The following streets are closed from now until 9 p.m. tonight to accommodate the National Christmas Tree Lighting (secularly known as the Pageant of Peace Ceremony), per D.C. officials:

• 17^th Street, NW closed from Independence Avenue to New York Avenue, NW
• 15^th Street, NW closed from Independence Avenue to New York Avenue, NW
• Constitution Avenue from 14^th Street to 18^th Street, NW
• Pennsylvania Avenue from 14^th Street to 15^th Street, NW
• Madison Drive from 14^th Street to 15^th Street
• Jefferson Drive from 14^th Street to 15^th Street
