The Metro Transit Police Department says an adult male has suffered a gunshot wound at the Anacostia station on the Green Line. As of 1 p.m., the victim was reportedly “conscious and breathing.”

Reached by phone just before 1 p.m., a Metro spokesperson deferred to MTPD’s Twitter account for immediate updates.
Update 1:13 p.m.: Metro says Green Line trains are bypassing the Anacostia station and single-tracking between Congress Heights and Navy Yard due to police activity:

Update 1:45 p.m.: Metro says Anacostia station has reopened with single-track service, but “normal rail service” will come back soon. In addition, the agency says it has apprehended and “positively identified” two suspects.
