Less than one month after 15-year-old Davonte Washington was killed at the above-ground Deanwood Metro station, police say a man was stabbed there on Monday morning. Trains are temporarily bypassing the station, according to Metro.

Metro says it’s providing shuttle buses to make up for the service impact:
A spokesperson for D.C.’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department could not immediately be reached for comment on the status of the victim. MPD Assistant Chief Peter Newsham told reporters one person was transported to the hospital with “a very serious injury.”
Update 12:10 p.m.: An MPD spokesperson says that an adult male suffered a stab wound and was found unconscious after an initial call came through just before 11 a.m. The department’s Violent Crimes Branch is on scene, on the 4700 block of Minnesota Avenue NE.
Update 1 p.m.: Police now say the victim has died, adding that they are continuing to investigate:

Update 4:25 p.m.: MPD has released photos and a description of the alleged suspect in today’s stabbing:
“The person of interest is described as a 14 to 20 year old black male, medium complexion, medium build, with dreadlocks and braces,” the department says in a release. “He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.” MPD offers up to $25,000 for information resulting in the arrest or conviction of homicide suspects.
