George Williams, a DCPL spokesperson, says tomorrow several hundred employees can sign up for workshops focused on upcoming programs, budgets, and customer-service initiatives, among others. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library—DCPL’s central branch—will also be closed on Tuesday, Williams clarifies.
“It’s to help us better serve the public,” he says. “For example, a publisher is going to present a workshop on books that will be highly anticipated [once they come out].”
The system will reopen on Wednesday at regular time.
