It’s official, bird watchers: The baby eagles at the National Arboretum have been named “Freedom” and “Liberty” after more than 36,000 votes were cast to give the eaglets known as DC2 and DC3 monikers.

Their names may be
American tropes synonyms, but at least they weren’t named “Cherry” and “Blossom.”
