A pair of elderly male suspects may have been a danger to a girl in an incident that took place on the 3900 block of Argyle Terrace NW last Monday night, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
At around 7 p.m. on April 18, D.C. police say the men approached the girl in a white vehicle in residential Crestwood, just east of Rock Creek Park.
“The driver of the vehicle offered the child candy, and attempted to lure the child into the vehicle,” an MPD release explains. “The vehicle of interest is described as being either a white sedan or a small white SUV.”
Police say they are searching for a “white or hispanic male, approximately 70-years-old, with grey short hair, green eyes, and a tattoo in the shape of a beetle on the back of his neck” as well as a “white or hispanic male, approximately 60-years-old, with white hair and a nose ring.” Both are believed to “hav[e] accent[s].”
MPD’s Youth and Family Services Division is handling the case.
