The admission-price listings for this week on the 9:30 Club’s website are currently dominated by the word “$Cancelled.” That’s because the Decemberists, who were scheduled to play four nights (Friday thru Monday) as part of their “Long and Short of It” tour, have canceled the entire tour. Those sick bastards. (I mean that literally – the cancellation arose because an unnamed band member is too sick to travel.)

This means, of course, that there will be no reschedule dates. Go back to the place where you got your tickets before November 26 and get a complete refund.

Meantime, the 9:30’s vacant slots have been partially filled by a Gypsy Eyes Records showcase on Friday night and a triple bill of The Dance Party, My Favorite Highway, and Vita Ruins. No word yet on replacements for Sunday and Monday nights, although Sunday’s sold-out early show with the David Crowder Band, Phil Wickham, and The Myriad is still on.
