Let us tell you the information you need to register and cast a ballot in D.C.

Originating in Northern Virginia over 10 years ago, Ostinato have been off and on since then but mostly off since 2007. With the three members that make up the band (including guitarist Dave Hennessy, who played with Scott Weinrich as a drummer for The Hidden Hand), now all living in different cities along the eastern seaboard, keeping the band together has proven difficult. Ostinato are playing a final D.C. area show tonight, opening for Witch and Earthless (see BPB’s recent Q&A), then going on a whirlwind European tour and calling it a day afterwards.

So now’s your last chance to see this long-running band, whose laid-back brand of psychedelic/post-rock should make for an interesting contrast to the heaviness of the bands following them. Ostinato’s set is supposed to start at 9pm tonight.
