Tonight, Howard University student, hip hop video journalist, and self proclaimed “social media hustler” Jabari will be debuting his new record at the Commonwealth store in Adams Morgan. “Dopeman,” which features guest shots from Clipse’s Pusha T and buzzed about Lil Wayne collaborator Nicki Minaji, is the lead single from Jabari’s forthcoming Famous On The Internet compilation.

Needless to say, a public, real world listening party is a welcome alternative to the frantic zshare distribution model that has plagued hip hop lately—if only because Match.com hasn’t yet figured out how to buy pop-up ad space on Florida Ave. But if you really don’t feel like leaving your house, the event and record will be broadcast live online at hip hop mp3 depot NahRight.com. “Complementary Drinks Served” only in person, though.

Jabari talks about the record after the jump.
