Politics and Prose has a great lineup of author events tomorrow. Kicking things off at 1 p.m. is Judith Martin—Miss Manners—who will discuss weddings in order to plug Miss Manners’ Guide To A Surprisingly Dignified Wedding.
Jasper Fforde is there at 3:30 to discuss his new novel, Shades Of Grey. The author of the Thursday Next series has concocted a post-apocalyptic world, where social status is dictated by what colors a person can see. When Eddie, a worker at the Color Control Agency, falls in love with a woman who sees only gray, his world tips upside down.
At 6 p.m., Elizabeth Kostova will discuss her new novel, The Swan Thieves, which focuses on a psychiatrist and amateur painter whose new patient vandalizes a painting of Leda and the Swan at the National Gallery of Art.
Also tomorrow, local writer Walker Lamond will be at the Barnes and Noble in Bethesda to discuss Rules for My Unborn Son: Let’s Get Some Things Straight Before I Get Old and Uncool at 2 p.m.
