Success! You're on the list.

Morning, readers. Happy Thursday. Today in 1968, the musical Hair opened on Broadway. If there’s a grosser name for a musical out there, I have yet to find it.

She’s Baa-aack! Alert: The White House Correspondents Dinner is Saturday, and disgraced former social secretary Desiree Rogers is making her first public appearance in D.C. since resigning in March, for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with the Salahi gate-crashing incident in November. Sure. She plans to wear a dress by Jason Wu, the same designer who made Michelle Obama‘s Inauguration Ball gown.

The end of National Poetry Month is approaching, and Poetry Out Loud, a poetry recitation contest between high schoolers from all 50 states and the District, just took place at GWU’s Lisner Auditorium. The winner, Rhode Island’s Amber Rose Johnson, took home $20,000. Poet and scholar comedian John Leguizamo hosted, and Garrison Keillor and Alfre Woodard were among the judges.

She’s Baa-aack! Alert: Laura Bush has a new book out, Spoken from the Heart, in which she discusses the fatal car crash she was involved in as a 17-year-old and suggests she, her husband, and members of White House staff were poisoned during a G8 summit in Germany. She kicks off her book tour next week with appearances in NOVA and D.C.

She’s Baa-aack! Alert: OMG, Sandra Bullock was totally publicly humiliated and is filing for divorce, but it’s totally OK because she just adopted a baby!

Does he or doesn’t he? That’s the question that’s burning up teens’ Twitter accounts about Justin Bieber‘s alleged tatoo on his hip bone. For his sake, let’s hope it’s fake and when he does get one he has the good sense to get inked in a more masculine place.
