Last summer a new mural went up near the Rhode Island Avenue Metro stop. Titled “From Edgewood to the Edge of the World,” the mural is the collaborative work of five artists and occupies a 275-foot long wall. This year, the mural lends its name, and serves as the backdrop, to a new market. TheEdge of the World Arts Market is set to take place Saturdays in June from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will feature antiques and handcrafted, locally produced goods. It’s June 5 kick-off coincides with the celebration party honoring another draw of the burgeoning area: the new Metropolitan Branch Trail.
