Saving money just got a little harder for fashionistas everywhere. Madewell, J. Crew’s less preppy little sister, is finally selling its downtown-cool goods online. It’s a long time coming: Though the company opened its first bricks-and-mortar store in 2006, and collaborated with the Madison-based e-commerce site ShopBop on a capsule line, it had yet to sell clothing on its own website until last week. Until now, D.C. shoppers had to schlep all the way to Tyson’s Corner in order to get their hands on Madewell’s signature scarves, denim, and footware. Some standout pieces on the site include the petal-shoulder dress, rivoli jacket, and wooden wedge. Happy shopping!
