Good morning, everyone. Wednesday calls for rain, but I guess it’s quite appropriate. The sky’s simply preparing for the next five days of gorgeous weather–for today, think rainboots!
In case you missed it: Darth Vader is getting in the theater business, Howard Theatre renovation goes underway later this summer, eagles won’t be gracing Georgetown, “we all came from punk bands,” and regardless of everything, at least this life will bring humor in Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work.
Ignite DC #4 goes underway tonight at Town Danceboutique–watch as 16 artists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and philosophers answer life’s aching questions on stage: including vanishing young republicans, running barefoot, and groceries and your sex life. Though, this event comes at a cost, but for 15 bucks you get a free drink and a snack (I believe only one, sadly).
DCWeek techARTS closing party Saturday, June 19 at the 9:30 Club brings 10 local musical acts including East Coast Caravan, Lucky Dub and Little Bigheart and the Wilderbeast, capped with an interactive experience based on a “light” theme. When are light shows not cool?
Real Housewives of D.C. arrives in our fair city Thursday, Aug. 5. And I couldn’t care less, so that’s all I’m going to say about that. I’d rather go watch an opera, where the fate of the cast is on me–it’s like a choose your own ending book come to life. And after last night, it’s all about Game Seven, baby.
Short and sweet this morning, mosey on now, you’re probably running late. Don’t forget your earphones!
