Morning, folks! Another dreadfully gorgeous 96-degree day in the District. Summer’s really trying to make an impression–have a drink!

Don’t forget, the U.S. faces off against Algeria this morning at 10 a.m. If futbol doesn’t interest you, famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has the sizzling men on file, or you could stay cool at The Fridge DC, the multipurpose art space in Eastern Market. DECOY ink, featuring tattoo-theme artwork opened last week, reports Readyset DC. Around town, Oliver Stone will be hanging out in Silver Spring, Md., discussing socialism and Latin America, themes of his new film South of the Border, premiering at Silverdocs Film Festival today.

If you don’t mind the heat, “Sculpture at Evergreen 6: Simultaneous Presence,” an outdoor sculpture exhibit at Baltimore’s Evergreen Estate, is a pleasure, if you’re into the not-so-ordinary. The mazelike exhibit features 10 works by 10 contemporary artists–including gold leaves covering a storm gate—-yes real gold. Not a surprise, coming from a house equipped with a “Gold Bathroom”: the toilet seat is covered in 23-carat gold, among other furnishings. Miniature humans, some tied to trees and oversized, fruit-shaped chairs are also in tow. Sounds madly fascinating.

Though Daniel Radcliffe lost his innocence long ago (Dobby would be so sad), seems Harry Potter‘s about to take on an even heavier role as the lead in the film version of Erich Maria Remarque‘s All Quiet on the Western Front–sorry girls, he’ll probably be fully clothed. In other news, MTV’s Real World seeks ratings refuge in New Orleans, fantasizing about the death of your wife is really postmodern, and bachelor parties are replacing strippers with ducks.
