Orquesta La Leyenda has a reputation for bringing out the party in Latin big band music. Sometimes they’re the height of suave and polish, other times simply raucous and rowdy…but they’re unfailingly fun. They also include some startlingly accomplished musicians: Tonight the lineup features, among others, Ted David, bandleader, saxophonist, and flutist; Mark Chuvala and Alvin Trask on trumpet; Steve “Nature Boy” Shaw on trombone; and the usual small army of percussionists and vocalists. Need to dance, or whoop and holler, or just knock back a margarita and listen? Here’s your shot. The Orquesta La Layenda performs at 10 p.m. at The Salsa Room, 2619 Columbia Pike in Arlington. $20.
