Head over to BloomBars in Columbia Heights for The Garden open mic poetry event. Drew Anderson, aka Droopy the Broke Baller, is the featured poet at this week’s all-ages, dontation-based event, taking place from 8:30 to 11 p.m.

The donation-based event, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., will feature music, workout demos, and free hors d’oeuvres from Art and Soul, the restaurant of celebrity chef Art Smith, who lost 85 lbs. following his own scare with diabetes.
Don’t forget to bring your mat when you head over to free Yoga in the Park at Dupont Circle, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
