You may have heard about D.C.’s eccentric heroes, The Dismemberment Plan, getting back together for a little reunion trip around the East Coast, with two dates in D.C. Hell, you may have even tried to grab tickets. If you got them, though, you’re faster than this writer. The tickets sold out in less than ten minutes; it seemed like they disappeared in about 30 seconds, but I can’t say for sure. It’s not a surprise, considering the last reunion show sold out with similarly blinding speed, but damn—Plan fans are sure good at reading those spam-proofing security checks.

For those of us who didn’t score coveted spots at 9:30 Club or Black Cat, we can at least take comfort knowing that Barsuk is finally pressing a remastered copy of Emergency & I on vinyl. Oh, and for those of you with quicker fingers than mine, you can look forward to one of the best live shows on the face of the earth.
