Good morning, D.C.! It looks as if Virgin FreeFest was worth whatever you did or didn’t pay for it: Most of yesterday’s news was roundup upon recap upon review of Ludamalkmuganza.
But, fortunately, TBD also recapped the most awesome nerd summit of the decade, “By Any Other Name: An Evening of Shakespeare in Klingon.” The performance put on by the Washington Shakespeare Company, and seemed to be some sort of competition: Is Shakespeare better in English, or in Klingon? There’s also the Wale tweet roundup, The Blog Feature about Nothing, arguably my favorite (and the only, I believe) deconstruction of the wise words of Wale (who has a new video, did you see?).
DCist has the more on that wacky, whimsy inflatable topper for the Hirshhorn. The inflatable bubble could puff up for the first time in October 2012, inside the museum’s central plaza. If you have qualms such a thing sitting atop all that modern art (or possibly blocking your L’Enfant-engineered viewshed), never fear! It’s only seasonal! The bubble will be erected May through October, which is too bad—it looks like a giant Easter egg.
