While we’ve got the Transformers 3 crew in town, would it be too much to ask that Michael Bay include a scene of one of the Decepticons smashing the burger-hating, anti-small business law offices of Steptoe & Johnson?

Yeah, the big robot show is underway on the Eastern end of the National Mall. TBD’s Ryan Kearney and WaPo‘s Reliable Sources spent Tuesday evening outside the National Gallery, but in spite of a few small pyrotechnics there were no sightings of Shia LaBeouf or Michael Bay. Presumably they were strolling again, or whatever the fuck it is celebrities do in Georgetown.

Meanwhile, here’s video of a MPD van being struck by a yellow Camaro. Is the cast of Jersey Shore in town too?

Did you see Deerhunter last night at the 9:30 Club? If you missed it (like me), pay your penance by listening to “Revival” several times today.

On a somewhat languid day for Arts Desk, Marcus J. Moore reviewed The Foreign Exchange‘s new album Authenticity. I’m particularly looking forward to the part where I “stomp around with [my] favorite liquor and swear off love forever.” Happens more often than I care to admit.

Miss any of the high notes of Capital Fringe last summer? No problem. We’ve got Fall Fringe! While we’re on proper theater, should you be a performer in a show attended by The Post‘s Peter Marks, keep your damn hands off the audience!

And George Clooney was in town yesterday to talk about the Sudan.
