Tan‘s “The America Project: utopia” and Studio Gallery’s “The Breadth and Beauty of Photography,” which features shots by Yve Assad, who use of aluminum prints “works moderately well with an image of a boat on the water, but her work truly sparkles – literally and figuratively – in an aerial photograph of a series of almost fractal-like sandbars in water.”

Several months back, Chris Klimek and I shared our opinions of Conan O’Brien‘s “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour.” Well, Conan’s been back on TV for two nights and so far, Hank Stuever isn’t impressed, writing that the pompadoured redhead is just “a man at a desk, making jokes about himself while making chitchat with other famous people.
