Washington Post relationship cartoonist Nick Galifianakis returns to Washington just in time for Valentine’s day, with an appearance at Politics & Prose. He’s speaking about If You Loved Me You’d Think This Was Cute, his new collection of cartoons drawn from his illustrations for his ex-wife Carolyn Hax‘s advice column, which appears in the Post. Galifianakis will speak about his cartoons and then sign copies of his book. It’s a solid Valentine’s gift for any comics lover, plus you can enjoy the illustrations’ humor without all the helpful advice. As a bonus, try to play “spot the character” with the audience: Galifianakis draws his friends and neighbors into the cartoons. Including the guy on the cover.

The event takes place tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Politics and Prose, 5015 Connecticut Ave. NW. (202) 364-1919. Free.
