Good morning, D.C.! Yesterday’s holiday and subsequent DOOMSLEET put quite a damper on arts news, but here’s a tiny bit for you:

D.C. Fashion Week, the less-publicized (but, you know, hopefully equally glamorous and influential) cousin to last week’s hoopla in New York, got going last night at Kellari Taverna downtown. Here’s the rest of the week’s schedule if fashion strikes your fancy.

DCist reviews Oedipus El Ray at Woolly Mammoth (read our thoughts here.)

Click Track takes in the Avett Brothers at Constitution Hall and attempts to deconstruct Lady GaGa, who plays at Verizon Center this coming Thursday.

I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of great things about the Mount Pleasant Temporium already (it opened this past Friday), but apparently it’s so awesome it doesn’t even feel temporary!

Here on Arts Desk, we talked anime conventions, Cricket Cemetery Records, and Lemmy, the movie (which would concern a certain member of Motörhead).

Enjoy your Tuesday!
