Sure, Valentine’s Day was last week. Tell that to Nike Nando, a DMV MC who earlier this week dropped his full-length Love Day, a hip-hop concept album dedicated to life’s greatest mystery.
Not surprisingly, the album is mostly pretty downtempo, with a few upbeat tracks here and there. In the energetic “Get Over Yourself,” for example, Nando chastises his girl’s indecisiveness.
You won’t find many cuts and scratches on this album; Nando prefers harps, strings, and distorted soul samples atop his instrumentals. Grab Love Day for free here.
