Over the weekend in New York, a bunch of contemporary indie rockers covered a bunch of ’80s indie rockers on the 10th anniversary of the release of Our Band Could Be Your Life. Black Flag was covered by Dirty Projectors. Dinosaur Jr. was covered by Wye Oak. Fugazi was covered by…Buke and Gass? Well, OK. I guess Fucked Up wasn’t available. How cool would that shit have been??
The duo, known for its homemade instruments, covered “Long Division” and “Guilford Fall.” The whole show is streaming here.
