The Pixies‘ never-ending not-about-the-art reunion tour keeps finding reasons to continue. But it won’t be back for another D.C. date this fall (we last got the indie-rock heroes in 2009 at DAR Constitution Hall). The group has announced a “Lost Cities” tour—-in which the band will play its Doolittle album in its entirety in cities where it’s never played those songs or any others. None of those cities is D.C. or its suburbs.

Oh well! The band was pretty killer during its first reunion in 2004, but in 2009, at the second of their two shows at DAR, they seemed to be kind of bored. Except for Kim. Kim had gusto the entire night.
