You’re (Not) So Lame: Ward 6 Councilmember Tommy Wells tells Click Track what he’s currently listening to. His list includes Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain.” Everyone is like, “Come on, Tommy.” DCist rushes to his defense (“If I may though, I’d like to take a brief moment to defend Wells—who is, after all, 54 years old, and admitted that the tunes he listens to at work are ‘songs from [his] youth.’ I mean, were people expecting the Councilman to be a big Odd Future fan, or what?”)
Meta! Per TBD: “If you haven’t yet made it to “(Un)Lock It: The Percussive People in the Go-Go Pocket,” the incredible exhibit of Thomas Sayers Ellis‘ go-go photographs currently hanging at Southeast’s Gallery at Vivid Solutions, this weekend may be a good time to check it out. On Saturday, August 20, Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go and the subject of some of the photographs on display, will visit the gallery to sign some of Ellis’ photographs and be interviewed by artist.”
