The D.C. Record Fair poster, by Rich Bernett

Good news, vinyl geeks: The D.C. Record Fair is back later this month, and it’s returning to Artisphere. On Sunday, Oct. 23, more than 30 vendors plus a battery of guest DJs will be on hand at the Rosslyn arts center.

Despite the fact that the Potomac River is a massive psychic barrier to attendance, Artisphere and its spacious ballroom—-which hosted the fair back in January—-strike me as a pretty good fit. The D.C. Record Fair outgrew clubs a long time ago; it was spread out over two floors this summer at the Brightest Young Things-curated temporary arts space on 14th Street NW, and at times conditions were pretty sardine-like. I bought this LP.

Record Fair co-organizer Jon Meyers, who runs the blog The Vinyl District, says the DJ lineup is TBD.
