Although operations have basically returned to normal at DC9, the 9th Street NW rock club won’t be putting the death of Ali Ahmed Mohammed behind it just yet. Mohammed’s family announced today that it plans to file a multimillion-dollar wrongful-death suit. From the press release:

October 15, 2011 will mark the one year anniversary of Ali Mohammed’s tragic vigilante style death after an alleged altercation with DC 9’s owners and employees. The case also follows the DC Medical Examiner’s ruling that the death was indeed a “homicide.” Although the United States Attorney has declined to prosecute the criminal case, the family now seeks justice in civil court.
