A walking tour this past Saturday, Feb. 4, introduced interested parties (mostly prospective artists and performers) to the spaces they might be granted access to for the LUMEN8Anacostia temporium project.
ARCH Director of Economic Development and Marketing Nikki Peele says that all artists will preferably be set up in their spaces by April 6, but have an absolute deadline of April 14. That’s the date of the LUMEN8 festival, which will coincide with a Pink Line Project-sponsored party in the largest of available spaces, a warehouse on Shannon Place SE. They can use the spaces for about two months, or until ARCH finds a more permanent tenant.
