Start saving up for that Zarjaz single: The DC Record Fair returns on June 17 at yet another new venue for the regular event: The Fillmore Silver Spring. This one is Fathers Day-themed, and promises more than 40 vendors.
No word yet on the guest DJs, but they’re usually pretty cool. $5 if you want to crate-dig before the selections get picked over (11 a.m. to noon), $2 after that. The fair’s sponsors are Som Records, the Vinyl District blog, and the website DC Soul Recordings (whose Kevin Coombe we named Best Soul Historian in our Best of D.C. issue).
